NEW YORK Dick Orkin will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Radio Mercury Awards presentation ceremony in June.

Orkin, 62, co-founded the Famous Radio Ranch in Hollywood, Calif., in the ’60s to create radio serials such as The Tooth Fairy. Today the company develops humorous radio commercials for clients including Cupid.com and Southwest Bank. FRR also holds radio production workshops.

The Radio Mercury Awards, sponsored by the nonprofit Radio Creative Fund, will be held on June 19 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.
