Unless you are Apple, it’s not a particularly good time to be in the handset manufacturing business. Purchases of handsets fell 20% between January and April compared to the year prior, per the NPD Group, Port Washington, N.Y. However, the research firm discovered there is ample opportunity for cellphone and PDA accessories.
