The visual pretty much sums it up: a man in a business suit bending over backwards to touch the ground behind him. The tagline: “Our business banking philosophy.”
Ten such billboards for Comerica Bank-Texas will go up in Houston in mid-October, with a total of 30 signs planned for the city by next spring.
The campaign, created by Michael Flora & Associates in Troy, Mich., will be exclusive to the Houston market.
“We are trying to step up our marketing efforts there,” said Comerica spokesperson Darryl Ewing. “It’s the fourth-largest city in the nation and a really viable market for Comerica.”
The billboards complement the bank’s current campaign, which includes radio and print.
Comerica Bank-Texas has more than 50 locations in Austin, Dallas and Houston. The Detroit-based parent company operates affiliates in Michigan and California. –J. Dee Hill
