NEW YORK Omnicom Group today posted flat first-quarter earnings, despite a 12 percent increase in revenue to $1.94 billion.

The company also reported higher operating and interest expense for the quarter.

Domestic revenue, which accounts for 56.8 percent of the company’s overall revenue, rose 7.6 percent to $1.1 billion. International revenue climbed 18 percent to $838 million. Currency translations accounted for 6.2 percent of revenue growth and acquisitions added another 3 percent.

Net income was $128.6 million, or 69 cents per share, compared to $128.6
