Ogilvy Poised to Take Amtrak Account

Amtrak is in negotiations with Ogilvy & Mather to handle its estimated $35 million account, sources said. The review began in July when the Washington, D.C.-based client began talking to agencies about the account, which had been at DDB Worldwide since 1972.

DDB and the other incumbent, E. James White of Herndon, Va., participated in the early rounds of the review, as did BBDO Worldwide and FCB Worldwide, both New York; The Martin Agency in Richmond, Va.;
