NEW YORK–Kelly O’Dea has stepped down as president of Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide to assist Interpublic’s Advanced Marketing Services Group form “strategic marketing consulting” practice, said Larry Weber, CEO of AMS.

O’Dea does not have a specific title or client responsibilities at the Cambridge, Mass.-based arm of IPG that provides public relations, relationship marketing and related services. Rather, O’Dea will remain based in New York, working closing with Weber to “explore all options” on how AMS can become a player in the consulting field, including growing a practice organically and/or buying an existing practice, Weber said.
