NEW YORK–Bill Oberlander has joined Ogilvy & Mather as a senior partner, executive creative director, effective Sept. 17. The former managing partner, ecd of Kirshenbaum & Bond Partners, becomes senior partner and the New York office’s sixth ecd.

Oberlander, 41, an art director, will partner with writer Dan Burrier on such accounts as Motorola, Perrier and Cotton as well as help Burrier run the shop’s
“Young Guns” program, which develops new creative talent.

Oberlander worked for 11 years at Kirshenbaum on such accounts as Target Stores, Snapple and Rockport.
