The courage and determination exhibited by the rescue workers following the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attacks is the theme of a national TV campaign sponsored by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association.

The commercials, crafted by Conover Tuttle, Lynnfield, Mass., will break Oct. 27 on NBC’s broadcast of the Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships in New York.

A 60-second spot shows a mare tending to her foal, followed by shots of horses racing in the event. Footage of the New York Fire Department’s rescue efforts also appears.

“It takes courage and determination to reach the Breeders’ Cup,” a voiceover says.
