Apparently people still like to kick the tires and hear the door slam. In a Rasmussen Reports poll this month, just 16 percent of respondents said they are at least somewhat likely to buy their next car online. Eighty-three percent are unlikely to do so, including 34 percent saying they’re “not at all likely.”

Overall, 12 percent said they’re “very likely” and 14 percent “somewhat likely” to buy or lease a car this year. Of these, 38 percent said they’ll go for a new one.
