Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will choose five agencies this week from a list of 14 Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, shops being considered for its $3 million, two-year advertising contract.
Client advertising manager Micah Causey said presentations by those five would take place in time for DART to make a recommendation next month to its board.
More than 30 agencies responded to the transit authority’s request for bids, according to Causey.
Sources at some of the 14 selected shops indicated they were not certain they would continue in the process, concerned that proposed contract arrangements would make it difficult to turn a profit.
