CINCINNATI Independent Northlich said it has been selected as lead creative shop on the Ohio Lottery Commission’s ad account. The agency, with offices here and in Columbus, Ohio, and Cleveland, has been tapped for a two-year contract commencing July 1.

Stern Advertising of Cleveland was the client’s previous lead creative resource. Media chores were not part of the review and remain at Cleveland’s Marcus Thomas.

The Ohio Lottery spent $7 million in measured media last year, per Nielsen.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to share the Ohio Lottery Commission’s passion for improving the lives of all Ohioans through education and look forward to translating that passion into advertising that inspires and motivates players,” said Kathy Selker, CEO of Northlich, in a statement.
