No one has told Dr. Richard Deutsch, in the British vernacular, to piss off. But few agencies have embraced his potentially lenticular, jingle-singing urinal ads, either. “We’ve spoken to big names, from motion-picture companies to beer companies. Almost everyone likes the idea, but they’re reluctant to put their names on something that’s going to get urinated on,” admits Deutsch, a chiropractor and founder of Wizmark in Islip, N.Y. “It’s an ego thing.”

The products generate great word of mouth, he says, and are “incredibly viral” (an unfortunate term, perhaps, given the nature of the beast).
