As consumers pare their spending in many areas, an Associated Press/Petside.com survey (fielded last month) finds 85 percent of pet owners insisting they won’t cut outlays for the non-human members of the household. Even among the poll’s lower-income pet owners, just 20 percent said they will reduce their pet-related spending due to the bad economy.
