Nielsen/NetRatings Names Strategic Analysis Director

NEW YORK Kenneth Cassar has joined Nielsen/NetRatings’ analytics group as director of strategic analysis.

In the role, Cassar will oversee a team of five senior analysts who provide the company’s clients with media measurement and analysis. He assumes some responsibilities previously held by director of commerce analytics Robert Leathern, who left in December. Based in New York, he will report to vice president of client analytics Charles Buchwalter.

Cassar most recently served as manager of strategic consulting for about a year at Modem Media in Norwalk, Conn. Before that, he spent five years as an analyst at Jupiter Research, where he launched the New York-based research firm’s retail service. His experience also includes marketing and analytical roles at Bertelsmann’s BMG Direct and Ames Department Store.
