Polaris Industries is contacting agencies nationwide about its $5 million snowmobile and watercraft advertising account.
Naomi Teske, Polaris’ marketing communications manager, confirmed the review, saying officials at the Plymouth, Minn.-based company wanted to “make sure we’re with the right agency.” Also precipitating the search is the arrival of new president Thomas Tiller, she said.
Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, the incumbent for the past 15 years, has been invited to defend the business. Agency officials could not be reached for comment.
Polaris will conduct initial interviews with 10 or 11 shops this week, followed by a cut to two or three finalists.
