Incumbent Requests A Contest And Gets It
LOS ANGELES–The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has put its estimated $27 million ad account in review–at the request of the 18-year incumbent, which is defending.
The unusual turn of events came about because Las Vegas-based R&R Advertising’s chief executive, Billy Vassiliadis, is worried about the credibility of his shop and the business.
Vassiliadis has served as a political consultant to Gov. Bob Miller and other state politicians, and sources have suggested that his political ties have helped keep a lock on the account.
