ATLANTA The North Carolina Lottery Commission issued a request for proposal yesterday inviting in-state agencies to submit proposals for its $8 million advertising account.

The North Carolina legislature approved a statewide lottery last year. The state expects to generate at least $1.2 billion in annual sales from the games.

The deadline for submitting the proposals is 4 p.m., Jan. 17. Three finalists will be announced Feb. 1, with oral presentations scheduled for Feb. 9. A final selection is expected Feb.
