NEW YORK NBC is nearing the finish line of its upfront sales and sources said its final prime-time take will be slightly more than $1.9 billion. The network also sold another $100 million in prime-time Winter Olympics advertising that is not included in that total.

Down about $900 million from last year’s upfront, NBC took its biggest losses of ad dollars in the automotive, movies and retail categories, much of that coming on Thursday night, where the network was down more than 20 percent in its 18-49 demographic ratings this season.
