CHICAGO–Aventis Pharma has assigned consumer advertising duties for its Nasacort nasal spray to Euro RSCG McConnaughy Tatham here, a company representative said.

The Bridgewater, N.J. pharmaceuticals marketer spent $8 million on the brand from March to May, according to CMR. The company representative declined to disclose annual spending and did not know what agency handled initial advertising.

Aventis also markets Allegra, a $50 million brand handled by McCann-Erickson.

Professional advertising for Nasacort was assigned to LM&P in New York, also a Euro RSCG agency.
