NEW YORK Online video sales veteran Tom Bosco has been named vp and head of sales at MySpaceTV, the social networking hub’s budding video-centric channel.

Bosco, who co-chaired the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s broadband committee from 2004 through last year, has held top sales positions at both Microsoft and AOL as both companies built up their video offerings over the last few years.

He joins MySpaceTV following its recent string of deals to distribute licensed video content from big name companies such as Reuters and The New York Times to upstarts like Ripe TV and The Daily Reel.
