Allied Domecq’s Domecq Importers unit is conducting a review for Courvoisier cognac, a brand that has had little ad support recently.

Kevin McCarthy, brand manager for Courvoisier, confirmed that incumbent Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG here was invited to pitch the creative and media planning and buying account along with Domecq roster shops Weiss, Whitten, Stagliano; Cliff Freeman and Partners; and Mezzina/Brown, all in New York.

‘We’re looking for a little agency direction,’ said McCarthy, adding that contenders have been asked to propose media budgets and plans when they make presentations during the first week of July.
