Mutual of Omaha Launches New Effort

CHICAGO–Mutual of Omaha next month launches a $30 million campaign from Campbell Mithun Chicago tagged “Begin today.” It’s the Omaha, Neb., insurer’s first major ad effort in 13 years.

TV spots portray people who have been assisted by Mutual of Omaha–the son of a stroke victim, the parents of a teenager who needed a heart transplant when she was younger–telling their stories. Each spot ends with a voiceover informing the viewer that MOH has been providing assistance in these types of situations “for over 90 years.”

It’s the first work from the former Chicago office of Bozell, which became Campbell Mithun as a result of parent Interpublic Group of Companies’ recent reorganization. The account was handled for many years by Bozell Omaha before being transferred to Chicago earlier this year.
