Mullen, WestWayne Make the Cut

CHICAGO Buffalo Wild Wings has narrowed the list of contenders in its $2 million advertising review to three agencies, according to the consultant conducting the review.

Vying for the Minneapolis company’s account are independent agency WestWayne in Atlanta, WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam in Chicago and Interpublic Group’s Mullen in Winston-Salem, N.C. Cut from the review were independent incumbent Periscope of Minneapolis and IPG agencies TM Advertising in Dallas and McCann Erickson in Detroit.

Boston-based consultant Pile and Co. is running the review. The client expects to name a winner by December.

Buffalo Wild Wings, which operates 255 restaurants in 30 states, spent $2 million on advertising last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
