BOSTON Mullen touts XM Satellite Radio’s Nascar coverage in a pair of humorous 30-second TV spots that break nationwide this week.

Each ad from the agency in Wenham, Mass., shows ordinary driving situations in which people act as if they are participating in Nascar competitions. In “Flat Tire,” a quick tire change is accompanied by the sounds of a pit crew, while “Roundabout” turns a suburban street into a racetrack.

The client spent more than $40 million on ads last year and about $25 million through August, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
