MSN to Sell Video Ads on JibJab

NEW YORK Microsoft’s MSN said it has reached a partnership deal with online animator JibJab Media in which MSN’s sales force will sell video ads on JibJab.com.

The partnership is the first time MSN has extended its ad reach outside of its network, which includes MSNBC.com. MSN will sell pre-roll video ads to the JibJab shorts, in addition to product placements in future films.

Along with the ad sales deal, MSN will distribute JibJab’s next five animated shorts in the MSN Video section. JibJab’s latest creation, “Big Box Mart, is available on MSN.com and JibJab.com.

JibJab has gained attention for its Web animated presidential race parodies, such as “This Land” and “Second Term,” which will also be available on MSN. In January, JibJab struck a two-film distribution deal with Yahoo.
