MS&L Opens Montreal Outpost

BOSTON Publicis Groupe’s Manning Selvage & Lee said it is boosting its presence in Canada via a new office in Montreal.

“Growing partnerships with clients in Quebec gave us a natural opportunity to create a solid foundation for MS&L in this important market,” said Gayla Brock-Woodland, managing director of MS&L’s Toronto office, in a statement. The office becomes the shop’s second Canadian outpost.

Lise Huneault will head up the Montreal office as senior vice president and deputy manager. Huneault reports to Brock-Woodland.

Huneault has more than 20 years of Canadian public relations experience. Most recently, Huneault was a vice president at Montreal-based National PharmaCom, where she worked with various pharmaceutical companies. Over the course of her career, Huneault’s brand experience includes Pfizer Canada, Danone, Procter & Gamble and the Mexican Tourism Board. She has also worked at Fleishman-Hillard.

“MS&L’s entry into the Quebec market comes at a time when companies are looking for new PR agency options,” said Huneault. “We can be a springboard for Quebec companies looking for a PR partner to support their expansion in Canada and internationally.”

The new office will share space with existing Publicis Canada operations. The firm will provide healthcare, consumer and corporate communications counsel in English and French.

Based in New York, MS&L’s clients include Arby’s and Cracker Barrel.
