Mr. Youth Kicks Off TechKnow Tour

BOSTON Seeking to entice college students with state-of-the-art gadgets and technology, the Consumer Electronics Association and youth marketing firm Mr. Youth this week kick off the 2003 TechKnow Overload Tour.

The traveling technology festival begins today at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. In all the tour will visit 25 colleges across the country including the University of Pennsylvania, Tulane University, Clemson University, and North Carolina State. At each stop students will be given the opportunity to register to win products such as a Vespa Scooter and a Samsung camera among other things.

Sponsors of the tour include Samsung, Pioneer, Sony, Microsoft and Toshiba. The tour is running through December and will resume again in the spring.

Mr. Youth, a Boston-based company, has also worked with Dunkin’ Donuts, Reebok and the WB television network.
