William Crawford has been tapped by McKinlay & Partners in Simsbury as traffic manager. He was traffic manager at Cronin & Co. in Glastonbury.
Mason & Madison has appointed Fran Onofrio senior vice president and director of corporate communications. Onofrio most recently served as vice president of public relations at Mintz & Hoke in Avon.
Stamford-based Wahlstrom & Co., a unit of True North Communications that specializes in Yellow Pages and directory advertising, has assigned Stephen Nusbaum vice president and managing director of its recently established Toronto office.
J. Brown/LMC Group in Stamford has named Andrew Chuckas and Reid Stewart associate account directors.
Bob Holt, an 18-year Unilever veteran, has signed with MMA/Carat in Wilton as vice president and account group director. The research company formerly known as Media Marketing Assessment also has promoted Dennis Moore and Erin Wullenweber to senior vice presidents.
Greenfield Consulting Group in Westport has added Peter Mackey as managing director. Most recently, he was a senior partner and worldwide management director at J. Walter Thompson in New York.
Mary Beth Bardin has been tapped as senior vice president of public affairs and communications at GTE Corp. in Stamford.
Fusion 5 Innovation Marketing in Westport has signed Eric Glerum, formerly vice president of marketing at Norelco, as managing director.
Joel Treisman, who was with BellSouth in Atlanta, has joined CoKnowledge in Westport as vice president.
MASSACHUSETTS
Gearon Hoffman in Boston has made the following hires: Ken Kuperstein, senior account executive; Christine Horrigan, account supervisor on the Tufts Health Plan account; and Scott Clark, director of print production.
Clarke & Co. Public Relations in Boston has promoted Elli Holman and Lynn Kettleson to executive vice presidents. Holman heads up the agency’s business-to-business practice, while Kettleson is in charge of the corporate and financial relations group of accounts. Holman joined Clarke from Ziff-Davis Publications in 1992. Kettleson came aboard in 1986 from The Boston Herald, where he was business and financial editor. They join Brian Delaney, who heads up Clarke’s crisis communications unit, as the shop’s three executive vice presidents reporting to president Peter Morrissey and chairman Terry Clarke.
FitzGerald Communications in Cambridge has promoted Heather Premru Robb to vice president and general manager and Laura Grimmer to vice president.
The Weber Group in Cambridge has made the following promotions: Kathleen Keating and Stephanie Torpy to account supervisors from senior account executives; Michelle Rossetta to senior account executive from account executive on the Sybase account; Lisa Henneberry to assistant account executive from account coordinator on the Sybase account; and

Rob Aronson has joined Student Advantage in Boston as senior director for partnership development and sales. Aronson was most recently national advertising director with Link magazine.
Mary Dennehy has joined The Business Journal of Southeastern Massachusetts in North Attleboro as sales director for the South Shore area. She previously served as inside advertising manager for Mariner Newspapers.
Robert Corcoran has been named sales director for Amergent in Peabody. He was an account supervisor for L.W. Robbins in Franklin.
Peter Shier has been appointed partner and vice president of marketing and growth of Russell Inc. in Boston and Toronto. He previously served as vice president and director of client services at J. Walter Thompson Advertising in Toronto.
Thomas Stone has been promoted from vice president of client services to senior vice president of client services at McDougall Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations in Peabody. The company also has named Robert Fernandez vice president of creative services, Robert Riggs senior account manager of public relations and Tracy Kelly senior account manager in the client services department. Previously, Fernandez was with the Agfa Prepress division of Bayer Corp. in Wilmington. Riggs most recently served as marketing communications manager
at United HealthCare of New England. Kelly was channel marketing program manager at Cabletron.
Joseph Saling has been named managing editor of On Call, a new healthcare magazine targeting nurses and other healthcare professionals and published by The Boston Globe’s specialty products division. Saling was previously a medical writer and editor.
Digital City Boston has tapped Kevin Sanborn as account manager for the company’s recruitment advertising. Sanborn previously served as account manager at WBOS-FM in Boston.
Strategic design and communications firm Group C in Boston has hired Martha McCollough and Michelle Matz as graphic designers. McCollough previously worked at Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, also in Boston, while Matz was with EPS in Charlestown.
Avon-based Super Coups has promoted Karen Welch to franchise marketing and training manager. Most recently, Welch was a data entry manager. Additionally, the company has named Meghan Putney national sales director and Claudia DiCesare director of franchise sales.
Luciana Castro has been advanced to account executive at Sterling Hager in Watertown.
RHODE ISLAND
America House Communications has named Fred Mason senior vice president and A.J. Greenwood designer. Mason will focus on business development and account supervision. Greenwood previously ran her own business.
Newfangled Graphics, a Web site development and Internet marketing firm in Warren, has hired Kerrie Bennett as account manager. She will manage client projects and assist in marketing and developing Web sites. Most recently, she was senior account executive with the public affairs group at Clarke & Co. in Boston.
VERMONT
Brooke Gordon has been appointed account executive at Communique in Stowe. Gordon will be in charge of marketing and promotional strategies.
