NEW YORKLyons Lavey Nickel Swift made the following senior management changes. Suri Harris and Steven Wice were both promoted to executive vice president, director, client services posts. They both formerly served as executive vice presidents, management group supervisors. Todd Neuhaus was promoted to executive vice president, creative director. He is partnering with Tom Velardi, executive vice president, creative director. Neuhaus previously was vice president, associate creative director. LLNS is based in New York.Strategic Sports Group appointed Lee Berke executive vice president; prior to joining the New York-based sports business consultancy, he served as president of LHB Sports, Entertainment & Media. In addition, SSG hired Abby Port as account executive in its Atlanta office. She will work on accounts such as Western Union and Russell Athletic, as well as play a key role in new business initiatives. Port most recently worked at Host Communications, where she was marketing director of the collegiate division.Palio Communications hired two staff ers and promoted four others. Nanette Foster was named an account supervisor; prior to joining the Saratoga Springs-based agency, she was an account supervisor at Media Logic. Kergin Bedell was appointed an assistant account executive; he joins Palio from Swank Motion Pictures, where he was coordinator of 35mm operations. Mike Wanerka was promoted to senior account executive; he joined the shop in 2001 as an account executive and works on Cephalon's Provigil. Michelle Delaney, Tiffany Marg and Matt Geandreau rose to assistant account executive posts; Delaney, Marg and Geandreau previously were account coordinators. Delaney, who joined Palio in 2001, has worked on accounts such as CHS and Amgen. Marg arrived at Palio in 2000; she works on the GlaxoSmithKline HIV account and has worked on Impact Health and Celgene. Geandreau also joined the shop in 2000 and works on Cephalon's Actiq and Provigil and GlaxoSmithKline's Ecotrin. Palio is a subsidiary of inChord Communications. NEW JERSEYCatalyst Communications hired seven new employees and promoted one. Nicholas Squittieri and Steven Cally were both ap pointed scientific directors. Squittieri most recently served as scientific director at Accel Healthcare Communications; Cally formerly worked as director, Scientific Services at ApotheCom Associates. Tara DiMilia was hired as associate project director; she previously served as vice president at healthcare public relations firm Belsito & Co. Lisa Tagliareni was named senior project manager; she most recently was a program manager at Innovative Medical Education. Jamie Keith was appointed associate manager, Speakers Bureau; she formerly worked as project/ event coordinator at Advanced Communications & Education. Susan Suchcicki was named a senior project coordinator; she most recently was an assistant account executive at The Sawtooth Group. Kerri-Ann McLees was also named a senior project coordinator; she formerly worked as a promotional manager at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Jessica Agone-Ressa was promoted to vice president, copy supervisor; she previously worked as copy supervisor at the agency. Catalyst, which is based in South Plainfield, also has offices in Tor onto and Montreal. PENNSYLVANIAHavrillaCorrigan named Randy Groft creative director. Groft, who founded graphic-design firm Groft Design in 1997, will continue to head up that firm, as well as serve concurrently in his new post at HavrillaCorrigan. The appointment at Lancaster-based HavrillaCorrigan marks Groft's return to the shop; he previously worked for the agency when it was doing business under its former name, Agnew & Corrigan, for 15 years—last serving there as creative director. In addition, HavrillaCorrigan appointed Mark "Sonny" Cole director of new business development. Cole, who has a background in education and coaching, most recently worked at Franklin & Marshall College.K.I. Lipton in Doylestown promoted two staffers. Don Dougherty rose to director, national pharmaceutical accounts, MedMedia division; he previously worked as national accounts manager. Holly King was elevated to operations manager; she will continue to serve in her current role as meeting planner, in addition to her new post.Backe Communications in Ardmore hired Bethany Maloof as an assistant account executive. She will work on Lutron Electronics, Community Energy and Crozer-Keystone Health System, among others. Maloof most recently was an assistant account executive at Arnold in McLean, Va., where she worked on accounts that included Dominion Resources, Manugistics and Sallie Mae.Kelly Michener in Lancaster appointed Mary Lorson an account supervisor. She previously worked as an account supervisor/group director at Stoner Bunting in Lancaster.
