Lee Nadler resigned from his post as president and CEO at Digital Pulp and handed the reins to Ron Fierman, who joined the 5-year-old agency a year ago as executive vice president, managing director. In his new role as president and chief operating officer, effective immediately, Fierman will oversee the New York agency’s operations, finances and strategic partnerships. Nadler left Digital Pulp after nearly three years to pursue other challenges, said Fierman.

Burson-Marsteller hired Alisa Feinstein as a director in the company’s New York Public Affairs Practice. She most recently worked as development associate at Vornado Realty Trust.

Hill and Knowlton appointed Vickee Jordan Adams senior managing director of the media communications practice for Hill and Knowlton USA, effective today. She is based in the company’s New York office. Adams most recently worked as director of corporate communications at Dow Jones & Co.

Lee Heffernan was named senior vice president, marketing at We: Women’s Entertainment. Before joining the Jericho-based network, she was vice president of marketing at Lifetime Television.

Partnership for a Drug-Free Amer ica promoted three staffers. Leslie Bloom was elevated to director, Field Operations and Alliances; Bloom, a senior vice president with the New York-based organization, previously was Western regional director of Media Operations and Alli ances. Teri Christensen rose to vice president and Western regional director, Field Operations and Alliances; she formerly was a regional manager of Media Operations and Alliances. Vaughn Ownbey was promoted to Southern regional director, Field Operations and Alliances; he most recently was a regional manager of Media Operations and Alliances.

Winstar Interactive Media, an Interep Interactive company, hired two new regional sales managers. Bryan Hackmyer was named regional sales manager in New York; he replaces Sandie Milberg, who was recently elevated to director of marketing for Interep Interactive. Hackmyer was previously Northeast account manager for theglobe.com. Rachel Jarvis arrived as Midwest regional sales manager, based in Chicago; she replaces Carrie McCormick, who recently left the company. Jarvis previously worked on independent consulting projects as an Internet media and marketing specialist. Winstar Interactive Media is based in New York.

Robert Martin Inc. promoted Tina Salomone, vice president of account services, and Chris Pervelis, creative director, to partners. Salomone joined RMI in 1994 as an account executive, and Pervelis joined the shop in 1996 as a graphic designer. RMI is based in Hauppauge.

Ashley Svrcek was named an account manager at the New York office of Cooper Direct Advertising. She formerly worked as an assistant account executive at BRSG in Houston, working on Morrison Homes, Penreco and MacGregor Medical, among others.


Creative Marketing Alliance in Princeton Junction hired three staffers and promoted one. Rocco Iacobellis was appointed vice president, Marketing Services Group; he previously directed the marketing program of a major display company. Debra Fisher was named traffic/production manager; she most recently was a senior production manager at a New Jersey-based marketing firm. Jennifer Koren was hired as media planner/buyer; she formerly worked in the food-services industry. Nancy Chan rose to assistant account executive, Marketing Services Group at CMA; she previously served as account coordinator, Marketing Services Group.


Pittsburgh-based HMS Hallmark Ltd. hired two new staffers and promoted one to its accounting department. Jean Kennedy was named senior billing coordinator, responsible for handling production billing for the Pittsburgh office; she formerly worked in accounting roles at various companies in the manufacturing, wholesale, advertising and nonprofit arenas. Scott Arthur was appointed controller, managing cash, accounts receivable and collections for the Pittsburgh, Columbus, Ohio, and Tampa and Orlando, Fla., offices; prior to his most recent stint at another marketing company, he worked for eight years at HMS Hallmark. Willie Hogue was promoted to director of finance; he formerly was controller.

Jolene D’Agostino rejoined MARC USA/ Pittsburgh as media account supervisor—buying, working on accounts such as Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Rite Aid Pharmacies, True Value Hardware and LA Weight Loss; she most recently was a media supervisor at Prodigal Media in Youngs town, Ohio. Before that, she served as senior media buyer at MARC. In add ition, the agency named Bob Barbacci a media supervisor, working on Checkers Drive-In Restaurants and Rite Aid Pharmacies; he formerly was a marketing and media director at Penske Auto Center in Troy, Mich.
