NEW YORKTom Wright joined Envoy Communications Group as president and chief operating officer. Wright, who has been a member of the Toronto-based company's board of directors since April of this year, assumes responsibility for Envoy's day-to-day operations and reports to company founder Geoff Genovese. Genovese, previously president and chief executive officer, now becomes chairman and CEO; he will focus on Envoy's overall strategic direction, specifically on acquisitions. Wright most recently served as president and CEO of Salomon North America, a subsidiary of adidas-Salomon AG. Prior to that, he served as president of adidas Canada Ltd. Envoy is the parent of New York-based Hampel/Stefanides.MaryLee Sachs was named president and chief executive officer of Hill and Knowlton USA, effective Jan. 1. She will replace Thomas Hoog, who will become a nonexecutive chair upon his retirement at year's end. Sachs is currently director, worldwide marketing communications practice and chair of practices for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Hill and Knowlton Inc. She will be based in New York and report to Howard Paster, Hill and Knowlton Inc. chairman and CEO. In addition, Gene Reineke, currently executive managing director of Hill and Knowlton USA's central region and general manager of the Chicago office, was named to the additional post of USA chief operating officer, a newly created position, effective Jan. 1.Interep Interactive, the online division of Interep National Radio Sales, promoted Sandie Milberg to director of marketing for Interep Interactive, a newly created position. She is based in the company's New York headquarters. Milberg formerly served as marketing manager of Interep company Winstar Interactive Media.Ryan Communications in Syracuse promoted two staffers and hired three. Debra Becker was named media director, succeeding Dave Rogers, who recently retired; Becker joined the shop in 1999 as assistant media director. Angela Romano was promoted to media buyer; she previously served as an administrative assistant. Kriss Parzych joined as senior media buyer; she formerly was a senior media buyer at Latorra, Paul & McCann Advertising. Dan Fitzpatrick was hired as director of client services, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) division; he most recently was a marketing manager in the North American market for Carrier Corp. Mary Hillick was appointed staff accountant; she formerly worked in the commercial order department of Carrier Northeast.Palio Communications promoted five staffers. Suzanne D'Iorio rose to account supervisor; she previously was a senior account executive at the Saratoga Springs-based agency. Bonnie Stofer was elevated to vice president/account director; she formerly was an account director. Nicholas Parslow was named associate creative director; he most recently was a senior art director. Walter Hertik was promoted to art director; he previously was a graphic designer. Philip Reynolds rose to copywriter; he formerly was assistant editor.Zero 2 Sixty hired Heidi Gottlieb as executive producer. Before joining the New York-based commercial production company, she served as co-president and a partner at Single Bid in New York.Green Light Worldwide Media named Tom Brennan senior account executive in the New York headquarters. He most recently served as vice president, business development at PromoWorks. NEW JERSEYSSD&W appointed Vic Nichols director of market development. Prior to joining the Montville-based agency, he served as CEO and owner of CPMA in Millburn.Sentrix Global Health Communications promoted Jenna Zamelsky to senior account executive; she joined the Short Hills-based company in December 2000 as an account executive. In addition, Sentrix appointed Peter Stagg copy editor/proofreader; he formerly was at CableView Publications. Sentrix is a Young & Rubicam company. PENNSYLVANIANeiman Group named Robert Fell senior vice president, account services. Prior to joining the Harrisburg-based agency, he was senior vice president/account group director at Fahlgren, working out of the shop's Toledo, Ohio, office. Neiman Group also has offices in York and Philadelphia.DMW hired two staffers. Anne Batchelor joined as vice president, account services; before joining the Wayne-based agency, she was a group account director at Devon Direct Euro RSCG. Batchelor is based in the Wayne office, working on several of the shop's financial and insurance accounts. Jean MacKenzie was appointed vice president, account and creative services; she most recently was an account manager at Mail Computer Services. MacKenzie is based in Braintree, Mass., and works on DMW's nonprofit accounts.Schubert Communications in Downingtown hired Rachel Zimmerman as a senior public relations consultant. She most recently worked as a senior account executive at Brushfire in Whippany, N.J.
