New York Women in Communications elected new officers to its board. Debra Shriver, vice president and chief communications officer for The Hearst Corp., is president for 2000-01, and Patrice Tanaka, a co-founder of PT&Co., is president-elect. New board members are Anne Keating, senior vice president of public relations, special events and corporate philanthropy, Blooming dale’s; Stephanie Stokes Oliver, vice president and editor-in-chief of NiaOnline; Judith Rizzo, deputy chancellor for instruction of the New York City Public Schools; Lori Schwab, a consultant working with emerging technologies and traditional media clients; and Sherrie Rollins Westin, executive vice president of marketing, communications and research for Sesame Work shop.

Joel Sobelson was named creative director for Wunderman’s New York office.
