FLORIDA
Cook Sports, a subsidiary of Jacksonville-based Cook Marketing Communications, has named Sharon Higdon director. Higdon’s primary responsibility will be business development for both new and current clients of the sports marketing division, which includes the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Vincent Casademont is the new advertising director at Southern Boating Magazine and Marine Business Journal, based in Miami.
Nubielena Medina has been named vice president and partner at The Apple Organization, Miami, a public relations and marketing firm.
GEORGIA
Financial analyst Corinne Davis, media buyer Karen Segal, media planners Lee Anne Smith and James Chitty and assistant media buyer Lisa Lawrence have joined BBDO South, Atlanta. Assuming senior vice presidents are Kyle Lewis and Bill Norton.
The Atlanta office of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide has named Warren Wilkinson senior vice president in charge of the reputation management corporate practice. Also joining Edelman are senior account executive John Walker, account executive Marisa Puthoff and account coordinators Patrick Peyer, Derek Hughes and Bill Steers.
William May, vice president at Gordon Bailey & Associates, has added team coach to his title, assuming responsibility for the Siemens Energy & Automation and Hoffman accounts. The Atlanta shop’s executive vice president, Ron Strauss, remains active on all accounts, but has accepted additional responsibilities for business development
at GB&A.
Caribiner International has appointed Matthew Sheppard to lead the company’s Atlanta office as vice president and general manager of creative services. Joining Sheppard on the new management team are Kim Dunn as vice president of client services and David James as vice president and general manager of the new Caribiner Center of Excellence.
Third Millennium Communications in Atlanta has named Michael Reene as chief executive officer. The previous CEO, Gerald Eickhoff, will retain the chairman’s role.

VIRGINIA
Falls Church electronic retailing and marketing organization Frederiksen Television has promoted Thomas Redding to president and chief operating officer. Lee Frederiksen assumes the title of chairman and chief executive officer.
Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens in Arlington has appointed Heather Glass senior account executive.
The Martin Agency has promoted Mark Brye to studio artist III.
