Robin Shapiro was named vice president group creative director at DDB Corbett, the joint venture formed by healthcare ad specialist Frank J. Corbett Inc. and DDB Chicago.

Ray DeThorne was elected executive vice president at Leo Burnett in Chicago. DeThorne, formerly a senior vice president and account director at the agency, will lead the agency’s U.S. Army ad account. Additionally, Liz Bromberg was elected a senior vice president at the agency. She will help lead the Nintendo account.

Giant Step added Lisa DeSalvo as its Chicago director of recruitment.Carl Puccio was hired as director of learning and development.

Cramer-Krasselt named Scott Drucker to the post of vice president, account supervisor in the agency’s Chicago office.

Mobium Creative Group, Chicago, promoted senior copywriters Mike Ritt and Mike Speck and art directors Karen Boesche and Vicki Szymcek all to associate partners, creative strategy and planning.

Dan Albert was promoted to executive vice president, chief media strategist at Starcom USA in Chicago.


Keller Crescent promoted Bob Hubbard to account executive/technical services. Hubbard joined the Evansville shop in 1977.


Eisbrenner Public Relations promoted Carrie Jackson to account executive. She will work on the Troy-based firm’s automotive and service clients.

Brian Doerr, Barbara Krug and George Pratt were named vice presidents at Campbell-Ewald in Detroit.

Gerald Downey joined the Bloomfield Hills office of Alan Frank & Associates Advertising as vice president.

Graphic designer Mark Stucky joined Grace & Wild Interactive Development in Farmington Hills.

Kathy Umland was named a partner and manager of creative services at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. The agency promoted Craig Rowley and Tom Costello each to group director in the account management department.

Peterson Milla Hooks Advertising, Minneapolis, hired senior art director Sue Kaase, production artist Erika Walden, traffic manager Kara Woodfill and office coordinator Rex Rusher.

Gage In-Store Marketing, a division of Minneapolis-based Gage Marketing, promoted Lester Morrow to president.

Bill Hahn joined Clarity Coverdale Fury as a senior copywriter. Hahn joins the Minneapolis agency from Arnold Communications in Boston. The agency also hired Jill Treadwell as creative coordinator.

New at Bozell Kamstra in Minneapolis are chief financial officer Maureen Doolan and assistant media planner Angela Baker. Doolan comes to the agency from Vitality FoodService Inc. in Tampa Fla., while Baker was recently an intern at Cuneo & Associates. Additionally, the agency promoted Lynn Berghs to management supervisor from account supervisor.

Gabriel Diericks Razidlo in Minneapolis hired Nancy Pratt as an account supervisor on the agency’s DuPont Corrian and Zodiaq accounts.


Kuhn & Wittenborn in Kansas City added Dawn Thibodeau as a senior media planner/buyer. Thibodeau comes to the agency from Pepper & Associates. Additionally, the agency promoted Julie O’Rourke to account executive and Lori West to assistant account executive.

Maritz Marketing Research hired Bob Stergos as an account manager for the South Central Region. He will be responsible for account service and new business development in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.


Swanson Russell Associates in Lincoln promoted Jeff Beckenbach to art director and hired Tina Navratil as an account coordinator. The agency also added Tammy Gehring and Clover Shelton to its Lincoln office. Gehring is an account coordinator and Shelton is a public relations writer.

Anderson Partners promoted Becky Keasling to account executive from account coordinator. Cathy Bennett joined the agency as media coordinator.


Hitchcock Fleming and Associates hired Greg Bukosky as a senior copywriter and Amy Reese as an assistant media buyer/planner. Bukosky is a graduate of Kent State University; Reese was most recently an assistant broadcast buyer at Western Initiative Media in Cleveland.

Gerbig, Snell/Weisheimer & Associates in Columbus appointed R. Blane Walter its chief executive officer. He succeeds Robert L. Gerbig who intends to retire within the next year.
