Beth Robitaille has been designated director of advertising at Coastal Living magazine. Robitaille, one of the founding managers of the Birming- ham-based consumer periodical, will continue to work at the publication’s Chicago sales office.


In Jacksonville, Willman & Company recently appointed Dottie DeClue accounting manager. In addition, the advertising agency has welcomed three employees. The newcomers are Eric Beatty, Chris Copllin and Sarah Wright, who have been installed as art director, traffic coordinator and junior art director, respectively.

Husk Jennings Advertising in Jacksonville has appointed Bonnie Upright account executive. The agency has also named Heather Sims assistant account executive (advertising) and Heather Rousseau assistant account executive (public relations).

Jeff Arwood has joined the creative department of William Harris Advertising in Boca Raton. Arwood’s title is senior art director.

Orlando-based Bennett& Company has hired Julia Montgomery as account coordinator.

Julissa Gomez has joined the creative department at Firestone & Cimring Advertising in Fort Myers as graphic designer.

Devine Communications in Clearwater has assigned Ray Straub to its creative department. Straub will serve as a copywriter. The advertising agency has also added Laurel Rhoads to its staff as account executive.

MARC USA/Miami has welcomed Tuesday Saumell to its administrative operations as director of accounting.

Worth International Communications in Miami has named Angela Rojas public relations and marketing coordinator. Before joining Worth International Communications, Rojas worked as an account coordinator at DLC Integrated Marketing and was an account executive at The Ad Team, also in Miami.

Alex Agurcia has been named president and chief executive officer of Intermarketing Express Inc. in Miami, where he will oversee the operations of the international direct response television organization. Agurcia will be responsible for developing and launching new products at the company as well as negotiating strategic alliances and joint ventures with electronic retailers.

In Coral Gables, Tim Scerba has become publisher of Freedom Magazine’s Latin Trade periodical.

O’Conner Ricks Associates in Fort Walton Beach has hired Karen Adams as media buyer.

In Deerfield Beach, Richard Gasaway was recently designated vice president of account services at Group Direct Advertising.

Denise Wolfe has been named director of public relations at the Osprey Marketing Group in Stuart.

Tampa’s Teasdale Enterprises has promoted Kenneth Robinson to marketing and research planner.


Ames Scullin O’Haire has enlisted three staff members. The new employees at the Atlanta agency are senior copywriter Steve Mick, copywriter Mara Morreale and assistant media planner Lauren Schneider.

Michael Holt has joined the staff of ExpoExhange in Atlanta as director of sales.

Fleishman Hillard has assigned three new staffers to its Atlanta healthcare team. Mimi Eckhard has come aboard as managing supervisor while Sara Floor and Robin Sanford have arrived as account executives. The trio rounds out a staff of communications professionals led by Elizabeth Boineau Lapham, who is senior vice president of Fleishman Hillard’s healthcare and technology group.

Bill Swanston has been appointed creative director at Creative Foundry. Swanston returns to Atlanta after stints at New York shops Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO. Swanston and the agency’s chief creative director, Scott Frederick, previously worked together at Henderson Advertising, which is located in Greenville, S.C.

Robert Kornecki, a 14-year veteran at Edelman Public Relations Worldwide’s Chicago office, has transferred to Atlanta as president of the company’s Southern region. He will serve as general manager of Edelman in Atlanta and oversee offices in Miami, Dallas, Houston, and Austin, Texas.

Paige Novack has joined Atlanta-based Broadus & Associates. Novack will serve as account executive.

Meggan Allen and Misty Register have moved to Atlanta’s point b as assistant account executives.

Libby Goldschmidt has been designated director of consumer marketing at The Weather Channel in Atlanta.
