NEW YORK Grybauskas Beatrice, New York, has tapped Randy Rosand as associate creative director. Rosand, formerly an assistant creative director at Long Haymes Carr, New York, will be involved with all creative chores on the United States Tennis Association/U.S. Open, Josƒ Cuervo Tequila and Volunteers of America accounts. C. William Harris has joined DeWitt Media, New York, as an associate media director on the agency's Terminix account. Most recently, Harris worked at Allscope Media and Communications, based in New York. He has also worked at Bates and Ogilvy & Mather. Fox Broadcasting, New York, reported the following promotions: Neil Mulcahy was named senior vice president, national promotions, specials and Internet sales; and B.J. Arnold and Lorie Durnan were both elevated to vice president, group director, Eastern sales. Carol Swirsky has been named art director of Condƒ Nast House & Garden, New York. Swirsky, who served as marketing director at Meigher Communications, will oversee all strategic sales and marketing development for the magazine. New York radio station WBIX-FM, also known as Big 105, has appointed Jennifer Wolfe director of marketing. Wolfe had been promotions manager at MTV Networks, also New York. John Bowling has joined Chadwick Communications, New York, as managing director. He had been U.S. advertising director for Air France. Donaudy Munch Marketing Communications, Hauppauge, has appointed Lorretta Bailey as director of the public relations division. She will manage the CulinArt account and the agency's internal communications, as well as assist in new business endeavors. Karen Sims was tapped by The Wolf Group, Rochester, as a senior public relations account executive. Sims comes from Eric Mower and Associates. Artkraft Strauss Sign, New York, has tapped Rick Budich as vice president, sales. Budich had been a national account manager for Gannett Outdoor Group. GCI Group has hired Bob Pearson as executive vice president, managing director of its North America healthcare public relations practice. Pearson had previously been with Rhone Poulenc-Rorer. Grey Healthcare Group, New York, has tapped Frank Rodino as managing director of the company's global medical education division. He is also president of Insight Medical Communications, a company recently acquired by Grey. Porter Novelli, New York, has hired Jennifer Kelly as an assistant account executive on the Gillette business. The public relations firm also reported two promotions: Lisa Davidson was elevated to vice president from account supervisor and Jen Dennen was promoted to account supervisor from senior account executive. Patrick Downes has been elevated to advertising sales director by Audubon magazine, New York. Downes had been the magazine's national advertising sales manager. Seventeen, New York, has tapped Barbara Applbaum as marketing director. The former director of promotion and merchandising at McCall's, Applbaum will oversee the magazine's 20-member marketing staff, including the merchandising and promotions departments. NEW JERSEY Gianettino & Meredith, Short Hills, has promoted Janine Novak to junior account executive, with increased responsibilities on the MobileComm and Benjamin Moore accounts. Novak had been an administrative assistant. Einson Freeman, a Paramus-based promotional marketing agency, has named Lori Weisbart as senior art director on the IBM personal computer account. Weisbart had been a senior art director at Source Communications, Fort Lee, on the Hewlett-Packard business. The agency has also appointed Daniela Dalessio seminar projects associate and Marjorie Cote account coordinator. Walter Hart, a veteran visual effects supervisor, has joined Film East, Marlton, as visual effects producer. He will oversee all aspects of visual effects, business development, client affairs and general operations. Dana Glazer Gers has been named vice president, public relations by the Movado Group, Lyndhurst. Gers, the former director of public relations for Guerlain, will oversee corporate communications and sponsorships. PENNSYLVANIA Praxis Communications, Huntington Valley, has named Ronnie Schwarz account coordinator. Schwarz had been an administrative assistant. CONNECTICUT The BCB Group, Meriden, has appointed Bryan Van Epps art director. Van Epps had been senior art director at Stack Pole& Partners in Newburyport, Mass. The agency also promoted Suzanne White to media buyer.
