Saatchi & Saatchi, New York, has named both Scott Tegethoff and Bob McKinnon senior vice president, group media director. Tegethoff joined the agency in 1997 as vice president, group media director, overseeing the agency’s Procter & Gamble business. McKinnon has been with the shop since 1990 and is responsible for Reynolds Metals, Gillette and Wild Turkey.
Mark Russell & Associates, Syracuse, has added three staffers:
Shannon Burke, previously marketing director at Longley Jones Associates, was named media buyer; Michele Pasquale was hired as assistant account executive; and Harvey Fonda, formerly client relations manager at Schueler Communications, was named senior production artist.
The agency also promoted Tiffany Christian to assistant account executive from media assistant.
Drew Fawcett has been promoted to vice president, senior writer at Rabasca & Company, Melville. He has created ads for such clients as American Express Bank, Apple & Eve and Dale Carnegie Associates.
Latorra, Paul & McCann in Syracuse promoted two staffers: Butch Braun advanced to senior art director and Kimberly Parr Trapasso was elevated to creative group supervisor. Scott Whyatt, former editor-in-chief of College Football Chronicle, was also hired as account manager.
Andrew Gusman appointed controller by Don Jagoda Associates in Melville. An adjunct professor at Adelphi University, he will head financial reporting and accounting for the agency.
Steiner Sports Marketing, New York, made two staff changes: David Smith, previously a senior executive at American Express, was named president and partner; and Jared Weiss, manager of the firm’s memorabilia division, was named partner.
Sara Lee Hosiery, New York, appointed Elise Telloni public relations manager for L’eggs Products. She most recently worked as associate director, retail implementation at Cotton Inc.
Bill Troncone was elevated to vice
president, creative supervisor at Keyes Martin, East Hanover. He had been senior art director at the shop since June 1995.
DKB and Partners, Morristown, has named Peter Burke senior account executive in its public relations department. He will manage media relations and special events planning for clients such as Rutgers University Athletics and Ricola USA.
The Star Group, Cherry Hill, tapped Elias Stern as management information systems manager. He held the same post at Stat Factory, a provider of sports statistics.
Devon Direct Marketing & Advertising, Philadelphia, promoted James Nolan to management supervisor and named him to the agency’s management committee. He will head
the Fleet Bank account and play a strategic role in Devon’s business development activities.
Harmelin Media, Bala Cynwyd, promoted five staffers to media buyer and planner: Suzanne Koup-Larsen will work on Weis Markets; Dana Coleman is assigned to Herr’s; Tricia Rellosa was given duties on Dollar Financial; Rodney Wheeler will work with Quality Plus Ford Dealers; and Dave Yost has been assigned
Manhattan Bagel. All but Yost will also work on the Aetna/
US Healthcare account.
Tim Loretangeli was elevated to creative director at Dudnyk Advertising, Horsham. He had been associate creative director. Stacey Schaefer, formerly senior account coordinator on the Industrial Vegetation Products business, was also promoted to assistant account executive at Dudnyk.
J. Brown/LMC Group, Stamford, appointed Tiffany Anderson promotion coordinator. J. Brown specializes in retailer-specific brand advertising and promotion.
The Atlantic Group, Norwalk, made five additions to its staff: Greg Voornas was named vice president, creative director; Tony Coulson, most recently senior vice president of Alliance Marketing, was appointed director of client services; Michael Kelly, who ran his own company, Michael Design, was named director of interactive media; Rosemary Peters Costello, formerly of Anderson & Lembke, New York, was named director of human resources; and Christopher Swee, formerly vice president, management supervisor at Bates USA, was tapped as account supervisor.
Brie Garni has joined O’Neal & Prelle, Middletown as media coordinator. She had worked as a sales specialist for Travelers Property and Casualty in Hartford.
Kinga Wlodarska was hired as a design associate at DiBacco Design Associates, Avon. She will work with such clients as Yankee Gas and the Waterbury Foundation.
