IDAHO Oliver, Russell & Associates has hired Ammie Alexander as public relations and promotions specialist. In addition, the Boise-based shop has promoted Molly Blackaby to account services director. NEVADA Quillin & Co., Advertising and Public Relations in Las Vegas has tapped Glenn Larsen as creative director. He previously served as an art director for The Geary Co. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Paul Caffrey has joined TradeMarketing, San Francisco, as a senior director with responsibility for key account planning and business development. Marimba in Mountain View has hired Jacqueline Ross as vice president of marketing. She most recently was vice president of marketing at Check Point Software Technologies. Julie Towne has been promoted to principal and creative director at the San Francisco office of Publicis Dialog, formerly EvansGroup. She had served as vice president and associate creative director. OREGON Gerber Public Relations, Portland, has announced the addition of Judy Park and Michelle Schroeder to its account services department. Park joins the agency as the account manager for ODS Health Plans. Schroeder is an account coordinator. Charlotte Blauer has joined Fish Advertising, Portland, as a production manager. R/H/A/S, Portland, has appointed Tamera Minnick vice president of operations and Joe Ratti account executive. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Stacey Dobbins has been promoted to account executive at The Blaze Co., Venice. RiechesBaird Advertising has added studio artist Kevin Herr to its creative team. Herr will assist the Irvine shop's designers on several accounts, including GT Bicycles. Claire McMahon has joined the agency as a public relations account coordinator. Jeff Hall has joined Paramount Pictures in Hollywood as vice president, market research, for the motion picture group. Direct Partners, Santa Monica, has hired Barbara Orem as controller. People magazine has expanded its West Coast sales operations. Mark St. Germain has been named Los Angeles sales manager, and Janet Yano has been promoted to San Francisco sales manager. West Coast ad director Sally Masters will continue to oversee all activities in the Western region and will take on the responsibility of training the national sales staff. Lauren Price has been promoted to director of sales development in the West. Brooke Hazard has been named director of client services at Lawrence & Mayo Advertising in Newport Beach. Hazard will oversee account services for the agency's entire client roster. Matthew Marquis Powers has been hired by Fuel as executive producer for live action. Powers will serve as the Santa Monica production company's primary contact for commercials and the live action elements of its TV show openings and network promotions. Sean Kevin Fitzpatrick has joined the advisory council for PhaseOne, a Los Angeles-based early stage advertising research firm. Herb Schwartz, a veteran producer and sales executive in the commercial industry, has been tapped by Shadowrock Productions, Beverly Hills, as president. Schwartz, who spent the past 15 years with Dektor Films, will direct sales, oversee production and manage all other day-to-day operations for the company. Susan Hober, who recently served as senior vice president at Shepley Winnings Public Relations in Studio City, has been named partner. The name of the company is now Shepley Winnings Hober Public Relations. Shannon Reagan has been hired by The Net's Best in Irvine as director of operations. DJ Fox-Engstron, Santa Monica, has joined Zona Playa as studio manager. UTAH Kelly Olsen has joined Blain Olsen White Gurr Advertising in Salt Lake City as a senior account executive. Olsen previously served as account supervisor at Euro RSCG DSW Partners, where she worked on the Intel, Iomega, Netscape and Word Perfect accounts. At Blain Olsen, she will supervise the Novell account and head new business efforts. WASHINGTON Creative Works in Seattle has hired Bob Hansen as a junior art director. He will be responsible for graphic design and interactive services on Hewlett-Packard and other accounts. Stacie Sauder has been appointed manager for the newly formed print production department at Seattle ad agency Copacino. Sauder was a traffic manager and print production manager at Bozell's Seattle office.
