Vernon Weiss has been promoted from executive producer to director of broadcast production at The William Cook Agency in Jacksonville.
Sawyer Riley Compton in Atlanta has designated Sara Jones chief financial officer. Jones will supervise the agency’s financial resources, accounting department and oversee auditing and computer functions.
Diane Fitzpatrick has joined Gordon Bailey & Associates in Atlanta as print production director.
R.F. Broadus & Associates in Atlanta has added Danielle Silver as art director.
Jackson-Dawson Marketing Communications has hired three new employees at its Greenville office. Carrie Bouygues has been named traffic manager, Zeb Morton has arrived as art director and John Simpson has been brought in as facilities coordinator.
Anderson Communications Group in Hilton Head has installed Joan Flynn as production manager. Flynn replaces Sheree Locascio, who has been promoted to sales and marketing director of the agency’s new venture in Charleston.
John Wesley Lewis of The Lewis Group in Greenville has been selected to serve a three-year term on the visual arts advisory board of Greenville Tech.
Daniel+Douglas+Norcross in Chattanooga has promoted one staff member and added a new employee. Kelly Robinson, who has been with the agency since 1997, has advanced to account manager. The shop has hired Theresa Minelli as traffic manager. Minelli comes to the agency from Krienik Advertising, where she was production manager.
Higgins Advertising in Nashville has announced three personnel moves. Cheryl Thompson has moved up to vice president of operations after two years at the agency; Stephen Carr has signed on as senior account services supervisor and will manage the shop’s account services staff; and Dennis Carroll has advanced to vice president and creative director.
O’Connor Kenny Partners in Memphis has made three key additions to its creative department: Eric Christopherson as creative director and Linda Corti and Pat Powell as associate creative directors.
Michael Todd has joined Chandler Ehrlich & Co. in Memphis as art director. Todd comes to the agency from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi.

Bryan Burns has been appointed senior art director and creative director at Reed Advertising & Marketing in Richmond. Prior to coming to Reed, Burns had been an art director at The Martin Agency, also in Richmond, for 10 years.
Dan Carter has joined Power/Warner Communications Group in Winchester as creative services manager. Carter was previously creative director of Camcare Health System and Charleston Area Medical Center.
KSK Communications in Vienna has welcomed Kristin Rock as a copywriter. Before joining KSK, Rock was a writer and broadcast producer with Trum Advertising in Houston.
The Hawthorn Group in Alexandria has recruited Robert Pipkin as senior vice president of communications, Cathy MacFarlane as executive vice president for company services and David Jewell as manager of media relations.
