CONNECTICUT The Hartford Courant has promoted Richard Medeiros to advertising director from display advertising director. He is responsible for all nonclassified advertising, including retail, national, manufacturer, shared mail and online. MASSACHUSETTS Bozell Kamstra in Peabody has named Ann Coughlin senior media planner, Monisha Dalal Patel account executive and Julie Johnson executive assistant. Coughlin was co-op advertising coordinator and media buyer for Allied Advertising in Boston, where she developed and placed print campaigns for major motion picture accounts. Patel was an account service analyst for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., where she assisted with the management of the General Motors account. Johnson was senior technical secretary at Analogic Corp. Ciavarra Design in Boston has added Susan Westervelt as traffic manager and Matthew Marino as junior designer. Westervelt most recently worked at Filene's as lead content coordinator in the direct mail division. Marino, who had served as an intern while completing his studies at the Art Institute of Boston, will handle creative projects for clients such as Compaq Computer and State Street Corp. The Weber Group, a Cambridge-based technology public relations firm, has named Marian Hughes vice president. As a senior account executive at the agency, Hughes has managed branding programs for clients such as Citrix Systems, AT&T and the Recording Industry Association of America. Irma S. Mann, Strategic Marketing in Boston has promoted Edward Feather to senior account executive from account executive. Trinity Communications in Boston has hired Liz Hamilton and John Kenney as writers in the creative services department. Hamilton was a copy group supervisor at Fidelity Investments' in-house ad agency. Kenney was a senior copywriter at Austin Knight. Trinity also has tapped Carinna Marson and Karen Ciulla as account executives. Marson was a communications consultant at Fidelity; Ciulla was an account executive at Austin Knight. Cone in Boston has announced the following additions to its cause branding team: senior account executive Kari Bornhorst, formerly at Millennium Communications, Washington, D.C.; senior account executive Heather Mulcahy, who previously served in the healthcare practice group at Boston's Brodeur Porter Novelli; and assistant account executive Matt Nagler, a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts. Cone's interactive team has added Marc Berliner as senior account executive and Yohan Sengamalay as assistant account executive. Berliner was formerly at Brodeur Porter Novelli; Sengamalay recently graduated from Boston College. Amanda Dyson joins Cone as a business development associate. She most recently worked at Medimetrix as a client and marketing specialist. Benes Communications in Lexington has promoted Nancy Cherry to associate creative director from art director and Lexi Lepard to senior designer from designer. The agency has added Eric Rotramel as art director, Susie Rosenblum as account and production coordinator and Melanie Gardiner as junior designer. NEW HAMPSHIRE The Bedford Granite Group in Bedford has appointed Jennifer Colt-Demaree as manager of interactive services. Colt-Demaree most recently served as an online assistant at the Concord Monitor.
