Tom Bolger, a former principal with MBRK, has joined The Point Group in Dallas to head its strategic planning and consulting practice.
Ornelas & Associates in Dallas has hired Juan Daniel Navas as senior copywriter. He previously worked as a freelance copywriter for agencies such as Sanchez & Levitan and Turkel Schwartz & Partners. Also joining Ornelas is Mauricio Castro as creative director. He was formerly with Bromley, Aguilar.
Austin-based T3 has added four new employees: Wendi Aarons as copywriter, Amy Scott as creative and public relations assistant, Jessica Tsourmas as traffic manager and Tracy Zeletz as production artist.
Gulf States Marketing Services, Houston, has appointed Thomas Hollar regional manager responsible for direct marketing programs in a five-state area.
Fellers Marketing and Advertising has promoted Don De Pasquale to general manager of its Houston office from his current position as creative director.
Tocquigny Advertising and Design in Austin has made four new hires. Allison Pickrell, senior account executive, was previously with LMS/Marc in Dallas. Jamie Hargis, senior production artist and systems administrator, was a senior microcomputer LAN specialist at Rice University. Brandy Bresenhan, media and new business assistant, is a recent University of Texas graduate, as is Michelle Fajkus, media assistant. Two staff members have also been promoted: Kirsten Puchacz Cutshall to vice president of business development and Mark Scholz to vice president and account director.
Xopix, an Austin commercial and corporate television production company, has hired Mark Henderson as sales and marketing manager.
Paul Gold, executive director of account services and head of the American Airlines account at Temerlin McClain in Irving, is retiring after 19 years with the agency.
Patsy Tyron, account director for American Airlines, and Phil Edmonds, who joined Temerlin this month from M&C Saatchi in London, will co-manage the American Airlines account.
ChrismanPeters Group in Austin has welcomed Kateri Gemperle as account coordinator. Previously, Gemperle was with Tivoli Systems.
The Atkins Agency, San Antonio, has added Joanna Acosta as promotions manager and Kelly Raney as media coordinator. Raney was previously with Publicis in Dallas.
Promedia Advertising & Consulting in Wichita Falls has appointed Cynthia Eyssen vice president of the Dallas/ Fort Worth region. Eyssen is a former advertising executive with a Wichita Falls television station.
The Mills Corp. in Arlington, Va., has named Angela Carter director of marketing for Katy Mills in Houston. Carter previously worked on another Mills project in Ontario, Calif.
Blanchard Schaefer has hired Susan Powell, account supervisor, formerly a senior account executive with Thompson & Company in Memphis, Tenn. Jennifer O’Connor, account executive, was recruited from Rapp Collins Worldwide. Both will work on the Texas Health Choice account.
Johnston & Company in Houston has enlisted Lynn Sampson as advertising account executive and Jennifer Reece as account coordinator in the public relations department.

Amanda Meadows has been hired by The Communications Group in Little Rock as an account service associate. She is a recent graduate of Arkansas Tech University.
Martin & Martin in Little Rock has promoted Danny Koteras to team leader, a vice president-level position, from creative director. Replacing Koteras is Shawn Solloway, former senior copywriter with the agency.
