LifeCare.com, a Westport provider of workplace services that increase productivity and efficiency and reduce absenteeism, turnover and stress, named J. David Mahder executive vice president/chief marketing officer. Mahder, who was previously chief marketing officer of GE Financial Assurance, will lead the overall planning, management and coordination of marketing, sales, account services, communications and business development efforts.

Woodbury & Morse Advertising expanded its core services by hiring Kim Huard and Angela Smith to handle marketing and public relations, respectively. MarketMAX, a Danvers provider of multichannel, collaborative merchandise planning services, hired Claudia Silon as director of marketing. She will be responsible for creating and directing the company’s brand strategy, integrated marketing communications efforts and Internet presence, as well as managing relations with agencies, the media and analysts. Silon joins MarketMAX from Furniture.com.
