Reed will oversee PR activities for several of the agency's clients. She was previously PR assistant account executive. Rose was promoted from PR coordinator. NORTHERN CALIFORNIAFCB HealthCare West, San Francisco, hired three new staffers to service the Amgen Kineret account. Jennifer Rutten, vice president, account supervisor, came on board as the primary client contact managing strategic planning and implementation. Rutten is also a director of the board for the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California and spearheads marketing, fundraising and advertising efforts for the organization. Kerry Dwyer joins the S.F. staff from the FCB HealthCare's New York office as an account supervisor. She brings two years of experience on the HIV account team, facilitating product launches and other diverse projects for the category. Finally, Rachelle Grabowski joins as group copy supervisor. Her pharmaceutical experience includes work on products from Schwarz Pharma, Dey Laboratories, Dura, Bausch & Lomb Surgical and Chiron. Glass/McClure, Sacramento, a full-service advertising and marketing firm, hired Bill Girvin as director of partnership marketing and Kim Ringness as an account executive. OREGON Tyee Euro RSCG, Portland, a leading direct response and long-form TV advertising agency, hired James E. Witte as vice president of production. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIARachel Daniels was named account coordinator at Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder in Newport Beach. Daniels will coordinate an assortment of advertising and marketing activities on behalf of agency clients Fatburger, UCI Extension, Second Harvest Food Bank and WIC (California's Women, Infants and Children supplemental food program). Elliot Light, president of L&A Marketing and Advertising, Newport Beach, was elected president of the National Marketing Resources Network, a nationwide confederation of marketing and communications firms.Laura Icken joined Fox Family Worldwide, Los Angeles, as associate vice president of business and legal affairs.Shandwick International, Los Angeles, hired David Nobs as executive vice president. Shandwick is a global leader in reputation management, with offices in New York, London and Singapore. Odyssey Network, Los Angeles, named Lynn Dee Johnson director of network distribution and service for the Western region. Johnson will be responsible for securing Odyssey distribution in five states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. She will also create and implement local marketing campaigns and events for network affiliates throughout those states. Adfusion, a Los Angeles-based provider of an enterprise-caliber collaboration hub application that streamlines the media buying and selling process, welcomed Joel Hochberg to its board of advisers. Hayes Martin Associates, Costa Mesa, promoted Peggy Troesken to account supervisor. She has been with the company since 1990. Malinda Marshall joined The McRae Agency, San Diego, a full-service public relations shop, as account coordinator. Her responsibilities include media relations for national and local accounts, story pitching and coordination, maintaining the agency database and client research. Matthews/Mark, San Diego, named Camille Sobrian vice president of marketing, a new post. Sobrian was previously executive vice president of strategic development with Empower MediaMarketing.ON Marketing, Long Beach, promoted Yvette Becerra to director of its college internship program.
