Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos hired Thomas Morrissey, vice president, controller; John Scola, vice president, account director; Lee Fradette, account supervisor; Patti Carson and Victoria Constantino, each as account executive; Chryssa Georgalis, project supervisor; Gino Visco, senior producer; John Hart and Maggie Ryan, each as senior copywriter; Chad Cohen, copywriter; Christine Conrad, designer; Andrea Lenig, media supervisor; Kendra Motley, media planner; Jennifer DeMartino, assistant broadcast buyer; Elizabeth Denney, assistant network buyer; Jowanna Fisher and Sara Guilbault, each as billing coordinator; Michelle Harmon, payroll administrator; and Gretchen-Ann Dionne and Meg Cannella, each as administrative assistant.

Internet systems engineering company LavaStorm, Waltham, hired Matthew Baker as vice president of marketing, with responsibility for guiding the company’s overall marketing strategy, branding, advertising, public relations, Web presence and other external and internal communications. Baker previously held director and senior-level marketing positions at Nextel Communications, Ameritech’s Small Business Services, Pyramid Consulting and the Keebler Company.

Lynn Miner-Flynn joined Carlin, Charron & Rosen, Worcester, as marketing director, with responsibility for strategy and implementation of all marketing activity for CCR’s six offices throughout New England. She was most recently with Smith Korch Marketing Communications in Worcester.

Trinity Communications, Boston, named Will Woodruff head of the company’s public affairs department. He previously worked as an independent consultant providing communications, strategic planning, financial management, and public affairs for a number of city and community projects. He has also done campaign work for politicians such as Mayor Thomas Menino and Sen. Edward Kennedy.

BBK, Newton, hired Seth Freeman as corporate services account specialist. He will act as the primary coordinator for internal operations at BBK.

Sterling Hager, Watertown, hired Joe Campbell, Gretchen Mather and Vicki Sakakeeny each as account coordinator, Brian Gendron and Derek Lyons each as account executive, Vivien Green as an account manager; and Stacy Quinn as senior PR consultant. The agency also appointed Karen Berardino director, account services. She previously spent six years as corporate communications principal at National Grid USA, Westborough, Mass.

Dickinson Direct, Braintree, hired Cher McCarthy as an account executive, Ingrid Pena as an account manager and Christopher McTigue as an associate account manager.

FitzGerald Communications hired Helene Clay as vice president of the Cambridge office and Peter Soh as senior vice president of the Washington, D.C., office. Clay previously managed her own advertising and PR agency, while Soh was the director of Burson-Marsteller’s technology practice in Washington, D.C.

eDial, a Waltham Internet service that allows users to place calls over standard landline and cellular phones while dialing from their PC or wireless PDA, appointed Susan Roberts vice president of corporate marketing. She will be responsible for developing eDial’s market position and strategy and establishing its corporate identity, as well as driving corporate communications, advertising and product marketing functions, both online and offline. Roberts previously held several senior-level marketing positions at Cisco Systems.

Miller Consulting Group, Boston, hired Barbara Gail Warden as director and Elizabeth Parish and Stephanie Solakian each as program supervisor. Warden was previously director of marketing/branding for international software development firm Pivotpoint; Parish had been responsible for developing and executing public relations and corporate communications programs in the New York and Boston offices of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide; and Solakian held the position of director of public relations for Arnold Communications.

L.W. Robbins Associates, Holliston, hired Sarah Reynolds as a copywriter in the creative services department and Christine Bond as a graphic designer. Reynolds was most recently employed as a reporter for the Worcester Business Journal, while Bond worked as a graphic designer in the catalog department at Staples.

Ciavarra Design, Boston, promoted Matt Marino from junior designer to designer. He has worked on projects for Compaq, State Street, Champion Papers and Pegasystems.
