Murphy previously served as creative director, while Shannon worked as financial manager. Hauptman & Partners Communications in Portland has hired Karen Gelardi as senior graphic designer. Gelardi was a graphic designer at Cole Haan in Yarmouth. Laura Davis-Irish has joined Garrand and Co. in Lewiston as copywriter. Burgess Advertising & Associates in Portland has tapped copywriter Kitty Wilbur as associate creative director and Stephanie Jarmoluk as bookkeeper. MASSACHUSETTS Arnold Communications in Boston has added Adele Ellis as art director on the Volkswagen of America account. Ellis most recently was an art director with Philip Johnson Associates in Cambridge. Arnold also has promoted Julian Newman to junior art director. Greenberg Seronick O'Leary & Partners in Boston has named Laura Harkin senior account executive and Lindsay Culbert account supervisor. Harkin, who had worked at Sedgewick, Noble & Lowndes in Boston, will handle the Kaiser Permanente, HealthFirst and Holmes accounts. Culbert will work on the Shaw's Supermarkets account. Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston has promoted Robert Mucciaccio to senior designer and group manager from designer. He works on the Dunkin' Donuts account. Dickinson Direct in Braintree has announced the following promotions: Reed Dickinson to chief executive officer from president, Mark Dickinson to chief marketing and sales officer from senior vice president and Paul Graveline to chief operating officer from vice president. In addition, the agency has tapped John Whelan as vice president of finance and administration and Patricia Mele as executive assistant. Whelan served as controller at Bronner Slosberg Humphrey, while Mele was an administrative aide at Chiron Diagnostics. Gray & Rice Public Relations in Boston has hired Jason Gray as account coordinator. The Castle Group in Boston has added Jonathan Leite as office manager. He was most recently director of student programs at the Boston Conservatory. Susan Schumacher, senior vice president of marketing communications at Lehman Millet in Boston, has been named president of the alumnae board of directors at Regis College in Weston. Arrow Direct in Woburn has tapped Jan McGrath as manager of account services. The New England Dairy & Food Council in Boston has named Dana Garfunkel public relations associate and Jessica Gardner marketing assistant. NEW HAMPSHIRE Vital & Ryze Advertising in Manchester has appointed Alan Zavorotny art director. Zavorotny was a graphic designer/interactive specialist with the company. RHODE ISLAND Tiffany Hill has joined 101.5 FM in Providence as newscaster. Hill most recently served as music director and on-air personality at WCTK-FM, also in Providence. Culotta Advertising in Providence has tapped Kerissa Roderick as public relations director.
