TEXAS Churchill Public Relations in Houston promoted Kristen Davis and Katy Friedel-Glass to account executive posts at the shop, which is being acquired by Bates Worldwide and folded into its Bates Southwest operations in Houston. Both individuals have been on staff at Churchill since December. Gugel Advertising of Dallas recently promoted Monette Allen to broadcast manager and Laura Dellinger to assistant media planner. The shop also hired three new employees: account manager Ken Godlove, formerly of Fluor Daniel in Dallas; broadcast assistant Daniel Llana; and traffic assistant Breann Bogan. Both Llana and Bogan are recent college graduates. Junior graphic designer Christine Guiang arrived at Studio B Dallas. Guiang was formerly a freelance artist in New Orleans. DDB Interactive, Dallas, added two staff members: Brent Bonacorso as junior art director and Dax Phillips as Webmaster. Bonacorso previously was a designer at NWA Creative in Palo Alto, Calif.; Phillips was Webmaster at i2 Technologies in Irving. Michael Briggs was tapped as account executive at KRBE-FM, Houston. Briggs has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, according to the Susquehanna Radio Corp.-owned station. Flowers & Fedele, Dallas, recently welcomed aboard account supervisor Mike Hurst, formerly of Berry-Brown in Dallas; account executive Shannon Murphy from Grey Advertising in Vancouver; computer production manager Aaron Steele from Art Squad, Dallas; and Brian Walker and Trey Sullivan as junior art director and traffic manager, respectively. CS Creative in Dallas added two new employees. Business manager Dan Clair joins after more than four years as a part-time employee at the shop. Shawn Condreay, a student at the University of North Texas at Denton, was named production and traffic coordinator. Jeffrey Wood joined the staff of Mithoff Advertising in El Paso as media buyer and research coordinator. Wood most recently served in the Peace Corps in Africa. Tim Doke was appointed vice president of corporate communications for American Airlines parent company, AMR Corp. in Fort Worth. Doke, American's former managing director of corporate communications, will be responsible for media relations, internal and employee communications as well as AA Inflight Media. He also spent two years as vice president of public affairs at Brinker International, Dallas. Voice Control Systems in Dallas installed Carol Mazuy as vice president of sales and marketing for its SpeechWave business group and Rene Thibault as vice president of sales and marketing for its Voice ReQuest division. Audrey Gilbreath, president of Gilbreath Communications, was recently sworn in as president of the Houston Advertising Federation. Gilbreath is the first African-American to hold the post. She succeeds Leo DeLeon of Boone-DeLeon, Houston. Gilbreath founded her advertising and public relations firm in 1990. Marco Camacho was named vice president and general manager of Houston Telemundo affiliate KTMD Channel 48. Mission Pharmacal Co. in San Antonio promoted former vice president of sales and marketing Neill Walsdorf Jr. to president, where he will oversee marketing nationally and internationally. Radio Works, Houston, enlisted new principal John Brejot, who will oversee sales and marketing. Brejot was general sales manager for Dallas-based Heftel Broadcasting.
