Jay Talwar was promoted to director of account service at Milici Valenti Ng Pack. Talwar joined the Honolulu agency last year as an account planner/supervisor.
Shonkwiler-Marcoux Advertising in Las Vegas hired Lanie Schwichtenberg as an art director and Thomas Jackman and Kimberly Stromberg as graphic designers.
David Swope joined Highway One Advertising in San Francisco as a senior art director. Swope previously worked at Wolfe/Doyle Advertising for seven years.
Scott Schuman was appointed executive vice president, director of client services at Hawk Media in San Francisco. Schuman held various sales and marketing positions at CBS Radio Group and Bonneville International over the past decade.
Lynn Ritts joined Primo Angeli in San Francisco as a project director. She formerly served as director of operations at DLD Advertising in Lancaster, Pa.
Doremus and Co. in San Francisco hired Garrett Lawrence as executive vice president and managing director and Joseph McCormack as executive vice president and creative director. Both were previously at Publicis Technology.
America Online’s San Mateo office named Vince Thompson as Western sales director for interactive marketing, covering the Rocky Mountain and Pacific states.
Broom & Broom, a corporate communications design firm in San Francisco, promoted Martin McMurray to design director. He previously served as senior designer at the firm.
Ann Merritt joined Young & Roehr Group in Portland as a media planner. She has worked in the marketing industry since 1984 and has held positions in media and account services.
Judith G. Kahn joined New York-based Creamer Dickson Basford as vice president/group director of technology. She will serve in this newly created position from CDB’s Irvine office. Kahn joins CDB from Shafer Public Relations, where she was executive vice president of strategic development.
Fox Family Worldwide in Los Angeles named Rita Prosyak director of promotions and John P. Roberts vice president of new media. Prosyak previously worked for Fox Family Worldwide as an account executive for consumer promotions. Roberts joined the network last year as director of online entertainment.
David Lawenda was named vice president, sales manager, new media for Paramount Advertiser Services in Hollywood.
Inter/Media Advertising named Summerfield Horner a media buyer. Horner had been the agency’s traffic manager since 1996.
Lynda Di Lorenzo and Darlene De Johnette joined Di Zinno-Thompson Integrated Marketing Solutions, San Diego, as executive director of media and media supervisor, respectively.
Lisa Reid was hired by Media Dimensions in San Diego as the agency’s new traffic coordinator.
DDB Needham Los Angeles promoted Felicia Marquez from assistant media planner to senior media planner in the its entertainment division. Prior to DDB, Marquez worked at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood.
McCann-Erickson Los Angeles promoted Mitzi Clark to vice president/account supervisor for the Sony Pictures Retail account; Neal Lucey to vice president/associate media director for Nestle USA, Windham Hill Records and Knowledge Adventure educational software titles; and Jennifer Lupa to vice president/account supervisor for Nestle Carnation baby formula and baby cereal accounts.
David Safran and Evan Gsell were named senior vice president of advertising sales and vice president of business affairs, respectively, at Hollywood Online in Santa Monica.
Cheryl Lodinger was named senior vice president of marketing, North America, for Columbia TriStar Home Video in Culver City. Lodinger previously served as senior vice president of McCann-Erickson Worldwide in Los Angeles, where she was group director on the agency’s Sony Pictures Entertainment business.
Penna Powers Cutting & Haynes in Salt Lake City promoted Roger Jones and Erico Bisquera both to art director; Christopher Kunstadt to designer; and Matt Etherington and Troy Jones both to junior designer. The agency also hired Susan Hadfield as an account coordinator, Lori B. Hardy as an account manager in the public relations department, Terri Daniels as a senior media planner and Stephanie Moesser as a production coordinator.
