NEW YORK

Ground Zero has hired its second creative partner and brand planner at its New York office. Creative partner Leslie Ali joins the shop from BMP/DDB in London, where she won a Cannes Gold Lion for her Volkswagen work; she began her career at FCB in San Francisco, working on Levi’s, before moving to Wieden + Kennedy to work on Coca-Cola and Nike. Ali will be working with creative partner Tyler Whisnand. Brand planner Natasha Ja- kubowski arrives from Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG; she began her career at Bates in London. Jakubowski reports to head of brand planning Mark Tall and president Andrew Gledhill.

Phase2Media in New York has promoted Robert Formentin to senior vice president, business development, and Andrew Eisner to senior vice president, Phase2Media Direct/e-mail. Formentin most recently was vice president, business development and affiliate relationships, Phase2Media Direct, while Eisner has led Phase2Media Direct’s e-mail business since its inception. In addition, Peter Lazarus was named vice president, Phase2Media News Digital Media; he formerly served as vice president, advertising sales and managed all sponsorship sales for branded sites in the sports category, including the Official Site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Lee Willett has joined Digital Pulp in New York as a creative director. Prior to joining the advertising and Web-development firm, which specializes in building and branding Web-based business, he worked at the Pratt Institute.

EMadison has hired three vice presidents. Steve Eisenberg was named vice president, director of agency relations, and will be based in eMadison’s New York office; he was formerly director of national sales for the Sinclair Broadcast Group. Russell White was appointed regional vice president, director of sales-television and will be based at the company’s Columbus, Ohio, office; he was most recently executive vice president of Seltel. Brian Duffy has joined as regional vice president, director of sales-television and will be based in eMadison’s Dallas office; he formerly served as vice president and general manager of Paxson TV station KPXD in Dallas. All three executives report to eMadison vice chairman and chief marketing officer Don Robinson, who heads the company’s New York office. In addition, Michael Moore, former chairman and CEO of then Media- Vest Worldwide (now Starcom MediaVest Group), has joined the board of directors of eMadison.

Catalyst Direct in Rochester has hired four new staffers and promoted two others. Sharon Burman has joined as management supervisor, responsible for the Eastman Kodak Co. account; prior to joining the agency, she was an account director at DSW Partners. Evalyn Allen was named controller; she most recently worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Rowland. Nicole Matt was appointed production manager; she previously has worked at companies such as Webcraft Response Management. Dennis Allen has joined as infrastructure manager; he arrives from Vanteon Corp. Daniel Jones was promoted to creative supervisor; he previously served as senior art director. Amy Magierski was elevated to art director; she was formerly junior art director.

Shea Communications in New York has appointed John Garger senior vice president. He previously worked as vice president at the public relations and advertising firm.

NEW JERSEY

The Sawtooth Group in Woodbridge has named Celia Tennenbaum vice president, management supervisor, succeeding Ed Stukane, who left the agency to join Sawtooth client FiPoint. She most recently worked at New York-based Pickholz, Tweedy and Co. as senior account director on E*Trade.

Block Advertising & Marketing in Verona has hired John Romano as agency Internet director to lead its interactive division. He will assist with both existing and new accounts in capitalizing on integrated e-business solutions and other Internet applications, including e-commerce, branding and public relations.

PENNSYLVANIA

Gary Kinzel has joined FlashPoint—DBC, the advertising division of Diccicco Battista Communications, as vice president of digital media. Before arriving at the Horsham-based shop, he was principal of Kinzel Marketing in Moorestown, N.J.

Aron Kotofsky has joined Ferrare & Fleming Advertising as copywriter. Prior to arriving at the Plymouth Meeting-based agency, he worked at companies such as The Simon Group and Mitchell & Resnikoff.

Impax Marketing Group in Philadelphia has promoted three staffers. Shannon Jordan was elevated to account manager; she previously worked as an account coordinator.
