Group Four Design in Avon has named David Danielson design manager, Carol Hoyem junior designer and Robert Mitchell accounting manager. Danielson was a partner with Sound Ideas in Stratford, Hoyem was a designer at Libby MacDonald Shear in Stamford and Mitchell was self-employed.
Laura Soll has formed her own business in Windsor called Laura Soll Public Relations and Special Events. Soll spent the past nine years as vice president for Andrea Obston Marketing Communications in Bloomfield.
KGA Advertising in Middletown has tapped Jane Polowitzer as production manager and Sue Heath as stylist.
C.J. Johnson has joined NL Partners in Portland as an art director. Johnson will work on broadcast and print ads as well as Web site design for the shop’s newly formed NLTK division, dedicated to e-commerce.

The shop also has named Melissa Gagnon advertising account executive on the Kenda Systems, HR Logic, Wendes Systems and Envirotech accounts and Julia Drinkwater office assistant. Gagnon was a marketing and public relations associate at Beverly Hospital. Drinkwater most recently served as an assistant in the accounts payable department of Wakefield Engineering in Beverly.
