Morgan Anderson Widens Scope to Professional Services

Morgan Anderson Consulting is expanding its practice beyond marketing services into the area of professional service firms, beginning with consulting services.

Morgan Anderson is now being run by partner Lee Anne Morgan, who was named managing director earlier this year, while Arthur Anderson has shifted into the role of chief innovation officer at the New York-based firm. Aside from launching the new professional services practice, Anderson is developing the firm’s Switzerland-based international business where it has worked for clients like American Express, IBM, BMW and Shell.

Morgan said of the firm’s move into professional services: “They demand scrutiny not only in the area of compensation but also during search practices. These firms have taken over a lot of branding work.”

Anderson said 67 percent of consulting fee revenue goes to IT services, 27 percent to business advisory work and the balance to strategy, HR and operations. “We will illuminate consulting services for client sourcing and procurement and go where the sun currently doesn’t shine,” he added.

In recent years Morgan has not been involved with her namesake firm on a full-time basis. With her return in a hands-on management role, she said Morgan Anderson will also put a renewed emphasis on its agency search practice.
